I initially qualified as a Beauty Therapist in 1998, working in a Salon for a couple of years. Life then took me on a different career path, but after having my two beautiful children, I decided to follow my heart and pursue a career back where I started – in beauty therapy.
I set up a successful business from home, which then led me to Prescents Beauty Salon. In June 2015 I took over ownership of the Salon, fulfilling a lifetime goal of owning my own business. I have continued to progress my aesthetic and beauty training to be a Level 4 Skin, laser and light therapist.
The Prescents Salon has become a vibrant and professional Salon within Hythe and surrounding areas, priding itself on a first class Salon for treatments and therapies.
Mid life saw a massive change for me, after 20 years in local government I re-trained in beauty and holistic therapies.
In 2008 I made my career move to Prescents Salon and teaching at the Cottage Training Centre.
I'm most definitely a people person, my clients are a joy and making them feel great is an absolute passion for me.
Working in a thriving and innovative salon like Prescents is a pleasure. I continue to grow and develop my skills. It's never too late for a change in my opinion!
After working in retail for a number of years, I realised my passion was to get into the beauty and well-being industry.
I initially was a client of Tammie's who encouraged me to take the leap to start my career change and training in beauty therapy.
That was over 5 years ago and I have learnt a lot within the industry and strive to continue learning and progress my knowledge and skills.
After working within a 5* Spa in Hampshire, I decided to get back in contact with Tammie and join the Prescents' team in 2018 and never looked back. I can honestly say I love my job!
I took the decision to have a change after working in office environments for a while and initially trained in Beauty Therapy in 2005/6, After a couple of years I then took the leap of faith to follow my ambition and get employment within a Spa.
I really enjoyed meeting all different people and found myself totally fulfilled in my new career choice.
I worked within the Spa setting for a couple of years, before venturing over to the Prescents Salon, which I have been a part of the team for 2 years.
After having my wonderful little boy and relocating to Southampton, I decided to endeavour on a career within the beauty industry.
I studied in 2017, to qualify in all aspects of beauty and went on to progress my skills within the spa setting.
After a couple of years within a Spa I joined the Prescents Salon, which has given me the opportunity to build my own client base and work within a hard working team.
Just over 2 years ago I decided to have a complete career change.
After having had my family I thought it was time to do something for myself and beauty is an interest I have always aspired to.
Once the training started I fell in love with this industry and have been training in many aspects of beauty. I enjoy being around people and working in a team, that's when I finally took the step to join the Prescents Team after running my own successful business from home.
